Sage the Barista Express BES875
The Barista Express semi-automatic espresso machine by Sage is for people who want to make coffee at home with freshly ground coffee without having to grind the beans themselves.
It has a 15-bar Italian pump and thermocoil heating system, while its PID temperature control and low-pressure pre-infusion help produce a more even extraction for a balanced flavour.
The bean hopper has a capacity of 250g so you can keep a decent supply of beans ready for grinding.
Its built-in conical burr grinder has 16 grind settings, allowing you to customise how fine you want your ground coffee. The included Dosing Funnel attaches to the portafilter to prevent coffee grinds from overflowing and making a mess.
The machine automatically delivers a preset amount of ground coffee for its preprogrammed single and double shots, but you can also control how much ground coffee goes into the portafilter with the dial. However, you will have to tamp the ground coffee manually, which you can do with the included tamper that attaches to the machine.
Its powerful steam wand can produce microfoam, allowing you to create smooth and silky milk for latte art. The included milk jug features a temperature indicator strip that changes colour as milk heats up, allowing you to steam milk to your desired temperature for cappuccinos, lattes and other milk-based drinks.
